Where memory becomes material.

Renold Laurent is a Haitian artist whose practice explores memory, migration, displacement, and cultural resilience through painting, collage, and mixed media. Using reclaimed fabrics, pigments, charcoal, and found materials, he creates layered abstractions that carry traces of history, movement, loss, and survival. His work transforms these fragments into spaces where personal and collective memories intersect, asking how art can recover what has been forgotten and create new possibilities for belonging.
